The Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) pilgrimage season traditionally opens on Unduvap Full Moon Poya — Wednesday 23 December 2026 — and runs until Vesak Poya on 20 May 2027. During the season the steps are lit, tea shops along the route are open and the summit temple is active. Pilgrims climb roughly 5,500 steps through the night from Nallathanniya to watch sunrise and the peak's famous triangular shadow. We arrange stays in Nallathanniya or Hatton tea country, transfers and an early-morning guide.
